In the Shadow of Kings
Hi, my name is Corrin Trelorindarzin. I am a halfling rogue from Algor. Algor is a treetop-village close to the town of Ogo. I have 6 siblings; my father is the chieftain of Algor. My mother died 7 years ago when an assassin was sent to kill my father. The green arrow hit her, not him. I am searching for that assassin. That is what brought me out of the woods. For more info of my family, please check my family tree.
Since I left my family, I was basically trailing around the wastelands looking for any clue to find the murderer. Over the years I got a bit relieved with my search and then, about 2 years ago I joined a raider party, basically to survive. They really appreciated my rogue skills for their raids. A year ago my raider-friends and I tried to raid a group that was guided by some strong mercenaries. Among them was Legion. The two of us got separated from the big mess of fighting people and had ‘fun’ a little apart. During our fight, we heard some nasty noises and big growls.
We immediately abandoned our discrepancies and ran towards that noise. There was a GIANT beast (at least 50 meters long and 10 meters high) killing our friends. They were fighting hard against the beast but only two of the mercenaries were still alive. They were killed seconds later before we could decide where to attack that beast. Legion and I attacked the beast and I gave it the killing strike. I put my dagger deep into the beast’s throat when it tried to bite me. I cut the whole throat and the belly of the beast open with my dagger, make it collapse upon me. I managed to crawl out of its remnants.
Since both our groups were eliminated and we did not have any personal reasons to kill each other we decided to stop fighting and we wanted to go away, together. But first we wanted to eat – and there was plenty of meat lying in the sand. During our meal, four Templars sneaked upon us and captured us. They brought us to the city-state of Tyr. We had to fight as gladiators in the arena ever since. During the time of great mess and confusion, the Templar Sariel came to us. She demanded our fellowship, or if we denied, would kill us in our cells. We chose to follow her.
